"Die, demon!" Inu-Yasha yelled, slashing it with his claws. The demon, though not terribly agile, just moved away and tried to give him another dose of the magic potion which would make him go to sleep.
The others finally caught up with Inu-Yasha. Without a word, he had disappeared, leaping from branch to branch. Only Shippo's sharp nose had led them to the clearing. "Watch out!" Kagome cried as she got ready to shoot her arrow. The demon ran off, feeling the odds were against him and Inu-Yasha gave chase.
Kagome began to run after them, but Taroshi stepped out of nowhere and held a sword at her throat. He ordered, "Step back, and drop your weapons." Kagome had no choice but to obey him. *I have to go help Inu-Yasha* She slowly placed her bow and arrows on the ground, casting a desperate glance at Shippo. He transformed himself into a rat and sneaked up to Taroshi and then took a large bite on the back to his calf. Taroshi screamed in pain, and bent down to flick away the rodent. This distraction was all Kagome needed. She picked up her bow again and pointed her arrow right at Taroshi's heart. He laughed, "Go ahead, kill me."
At this invitation Kagome released the arrow, and it landed smack in Taroshi's chest. He fell backwards, and Kagome quickly ran off to find Inu-Yasha, leaving Shippo and Myoga to take care of the body.
"What the..?!" Shippo looked on horrified, as he saw how the body was deflating, leaving nothing but the skin behind. He shuddered. "What do we do with him then?" Myoga thought it would be best to wait until his lord returned.
The two was intent on staring at Taroshi's deflated head, that they didn't see a hand rising behind them. Suddenly Shippo found himself lifted a metre off the ground, Myoga quickly hopped off Shippo's shoulder and ran off to find somewhere safe to hide. Taroshi, swaying back and forth in the breezy (ever seen "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?") strode off, carrying Shippo by the tail.

When Kagome found Inu-Yasha, he was having some trouble subduing the demon, since everytime he got anywhere near its head, it would blow out its potion. "Curse it!" he cried as he missed his footing and fell to the ground.
"Inu-Yasha!" Kagome yelled and ran to help him up. She pulled out and handkerchief, "Here, tie this around your mouth. It might stop you from breathing in the potion."
Inu-Yasha glanced disdainfully at the object then reluctantly agreed. "Hide," he said, his voice muffled. *This smells so nice* he thought as he approached the demon. This time he ignored the smoke it blew out and brought down the Tetsusaiga.
With one blow, the demon was split into two, soon nothing remained but the shard of Shikon jewel. He was about to hand it to Kagome when a voice spoke up behind them, "Give thatback to me or your little friend dies."
Kagome and Inu-Yasha turned around, and the former gasped when she saw the figure standing in front of them, holding a dagger to Shippo's throat. Inu-Yasha absently removed her handkerchief and stuffed it in his pocket and said, "You let him go first."
Taroshi laughed, "You think I'm stupid or something? Just hand it over."
Inu-Yasha signed, what choice did he have? He threw the shard to Taroshi who discovered he didn't have enough hands to catch it. Reflexively, he dropped Shippo and caught the jewel in his hand. Shippo quickly ran back to Kagome, and they looked on as Inu-Yasha prepared to strike.
But instead of cutting through Taroshi, the sword rebounded, pulling Inu-Yasha along with it. He crashed into a tree, and looked up, bemused.
"Hahaha, you fool! My skin is rather elastic" And then much to Kagome's and Shippo's disgust, he began stretching himself. "So you see, your Fang is not going to do me much harm." He laughed again, and started using his body as a fan, creating a very strong gale.
Inu-Yasha stuck the Tetsusaiga into the ground, using it as a staff as he tried to get close to Taroshi. Kagome and Shippo got blown about 10 metres away, and they hid behind some tree trunks. Kagome watched as Inu-Yasha made futile attempts to get to Taroshi, and she began rummaging through her pack, finding the perfect weapon.
"Kagome," Myoga said, appearing from nowhere, "look at the wind. It's only blowing in one direction. If you can somehow get around to the side, he's wide open."
Kagome knew at once that he was right. Keeping low to the ground, she crawled her away behind some trees as she moved towards Taroshi's side. She struggled to keep her eyes open, as leaves, twigs and dirt flew around in the air.
Taroshi was concentrating was hard on making Inu-Yasha fly all the way to the other side of the world that he did not noiice Kagome until she was right next to him. He quickly turned, trying to blow her away instead, but Kagome, using the pair of scissors in her hand, had cut through his body. The wind stopped. Taroshi looked down in shock and horror, then in anger. He tried to grab her hand, only to have that cut off as well.
Kagome kept on cutting until all that was left was small pieces which were scattered through the forect was a gentle breeze. Kagome kicked up the Shikon shard left behind. She glanced at Inu-Yasha, knowing that he wouldn't be happy she stole the victory from him again. *Yup, there he is, staring off into space as if I didn't do anything* she smiled smugly, as she went and picked up her pack, and they walked on, in search for more shards.
I thought that was a little disappointing. Please tell me what you think? If people complain I'll rewrite that one fine day.
