Tears fell down his cheeks as the Kagome in his dreams would inevitably be killed by his demon brother. He shook his fist at nothing in particular, wishing that he had made that bastard suffer more before killing him. That would be his revenge, revenge for taking away the one thing he loved.
I can't stop reminiscing about what is missing in my life

No, he looked at the Jewel of Four Souls again. He smiled. He had sworn to protect it forever, for that was the reason Kagome had given her life for. And because of that, he would live on forever and ever.
