Expensive
repairs
require owner's
approval, so we quote before proceeding if
the
cost exceeds
a base amount.
We
don't like seeing good equipment thrown out when only in need of
minor repairs, so we usually only write off items when age and cost of
repairs make repairs uneconomical.
We also provide
statements and quotes
for insurance claims after storm and lightning damage. These quotes
involve
a charge of $27.50, which is usually reimbursed by the Insurance
Company.
When repairing Cordless Phones we require both base and handset units, as in many cases these are a matched pair. In some cases faults are found in both units, or testing cannot be completed to our satisfaction with only the one item. Power packs and line cords can also be at fault.
When ordering expensive
replacement
parts we require the owner's agreement first.
Our
records and technical
data
are computerised.
We also keep user manuals for some models on computer, allowing us to supply these if required.
Goods left for more than 14 days after the owner has been notified repairs have been completed will bring a charge of $2.00 per day for storage. This charge may be waived at our discretion.
