For the last 25 years I have run a successful Paint Horse stud and have taken several horses to the top, both in open performance competition and at State and National Paint Horse shows. I was also a H.S.A.A. judge for many years and I use this accumulated knowledge to photograph each horse breed to it's advantage.
I have been a professional equine photographer for almost 10 years now, and rank as one of the top in the country. My photography 'credits' include State and National Championships for Paints, Quarter Horses, Appaloosas, Pintos and Miniatures; Sydney Royal Show, World Cup Showjumping, and Pony Club 'Zone', 'Area' and State Championships. While in the US in 2000 I was invited to be the official photographer at the prestigious Sierra Classic Paint-O-Rama at Rancho Murietta in California - this was a 3 day/4 judge show with over 400 horses competing. I was again invited to photograph at Rancho Murieta in 2005 and also did some stud photo-shoots in the eastern states.
I now use a digital SLR camera, but my clients still receive 'proper' photos, printed thru 35ml processing machines so that the photos (and enlargements) will last a lifetime, and wont fade in a couple of years as happens with 'instant' digital/computer-printout images.
I make every photo special, whether it is a child's pony or a $100,000 imported stallion, and I am very careful with backgrounds and the lighting on the subject so that neither distract from the final image - thus allowing full attention to be given to the subject.
In addition to the show photography, I also schedule stud visits, which, for a very reasonable price, provides my clients with a portfolio of photographs of their animals in various poses, Your photos can also be placed on CD or DVD. I can also provide clients with advertising packages which include unique eye-catching magazine or print-ready ads, exclusive greeting cards, brochures, business cards and letterheads, and imaginative web page design.
Professional promotional videos can now be added to the list too! Taping; editing with titles, voice-over, music background; 'still photo' inserts, special effects. Recording back onto DVD or video-tape. I can also edit your tapes as well.
Another service which I can provide for my portfolio clients includes the final preparation of the horse, including show 'makeup', and even 'dressing' the horse with show halter, bridle, saddle etc. ..... Carol
