This young singer was born in Guiana and is 20 years old. She’s been living in France since 1990 and has been singing from the age of 7. Originally, she turned to sport (she became, by the way, a top class athlete), then she enrolled in an Arts degree before dropping everything to dedicate herself to music. She’s just left the Riviera where she was living, to move in with her boyfriend (whom she’s been seeing for 5 years) in Paris.

A fan of all music, especially R&B, Pearl took part in the 109 Max competition run by Sky Rock that gave hip-hop amateurs a chance to make themselves known. She was picked as one of the 5 finalists, before winning the competition. In those days she appeared on the 109 Max Rap R&B compilation; nowadays here she is, going it alone. Her first single is I’ve got some things to tell you, and it’s doing brilliantly. For someone who never took any singing lessons, what a voice !
