	In Japanese script the word oru means ëto foldí. Itís appearance and sound is similer to the word 'inoru', which means ëto prayí. Folding is my primary method of forming metal. I go through a process of making models with paper on and on (almost obsessively) till finding the shape which I want. Then I transform it into metal with a minimum soldering work. I prefer twisting and folding. Metal is such a supple material, it responds best to the most simple approach. Yuri Kawanabe
