A wreath is a form of jewellery made from, or based on, natural materials. Flowers, stems, and leaves are selected and carefully arranged in a circular form to adorn the body. The ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans made wreathes with thin worked gold shaped in botanical forms.

As I was working to combine differently coloured anodised aluminium plates into leaf shapes, these individual forms quickly combined into a wreath. Each part of the stem is a separate piece and the joints are all flexible, so it rests with ease on the upper body.
