SS Canberra - Notice to Ships Company

It's funny you know, I had no recollection of the darkening of the ship each night until I found this document in a folder stashed away in a bookcase. Heavy Black material was in place across the port holes and each of us was responsible for ensuring it was in place 30 minutes before sunset. We were told in no uncertain terms if there was any light showing through.
